The Power of Play: How LEGO® Duplo Supports Early Childhood Development

Playing is a vital part of the learning process for young children. Playtime is when young minds blossom, encouraging them to develop everything from hand-eye coordination to communication skills, learning to share and socialise with others, and developing a questioning mind and vivid imagination.

Stage 1 – Unoccupied play

This is the initial start of learning how to play during that first year. At this stage, colours and shapes are more important than specific toys. Stage 2 – Alone play
